Windscreen versus Printed Mesh. Although the terms are often used interchangeably, windscreen actually refers to plain colored banner that is used around sports fields. Printed mesh is a product to which we directly print graphics or text. This photo shows both products combined to make on great-looking field:
Why combine the products? Cost! Custom printed mesh banner does cost more than windscreen. Therefore, the budget sensitive AD or coach will often combine the two products.
Both wind screen and printed mesh can be used to cover open areas of bleachers.
Printed Mesh banners are also a great way to recognize exceptional or hall of fame caliber athletes at outdoor athletic complexes. This banner at St. Henry High School baseball recognized Wally Post with a photo and a jersey replica printed in the banner.
The production photo above shows our ability to use your school's photos in order to brand your outdoor athletic facilities with actual student and event photographs. This is a project for Riverside County Education Academy in California.
Another idea for your field is to motivate and brand with text and logos. In the picture above, Finlay High School boasts of their "Tradition of Excellence". Below, St. Henry Baseball branded their Recognition area, which also included a SchoolPride® Baseball Record Board.
Another effective use of printed mesh is as a "distance marker". Below, Olentangy High School Softball used the printed mesh to brand their field, as well as to mark the distance of the outfield fence at 200 feet.
